Somedays ago,  Scarlet Records  released the second album  "Songs from the Earth" by the Italian band FUROR GALLICO and on April 28th, they will re-release the debut S/T album of the band. You will find on Sword Chant one review of their debut album firstly released in 2010.

FUROR GALLICO released their second full length entitled " Songs from the Earth " under the flag of Scarlet Records. You can purchase your digital copy on the Bandcamp page of the label, or physical release, -  with T-shirt or not - to the band store, "Songs from the Earth" album is also available on  Spotify .

FUROR GALLICO revealed one first track taken from their forthcoming album " Songs From The Earth " to be released the 17th of February through Scarlet Records. "Wild Jig Of Beltaine" is the third track of their second album available for pre-order . Listen:

I remember that moment when I reviewed the first demo of the band. I had already good views on that band, even I made some suggestions... The songs from the demo are in the album by the way. But now, I gotta review their first album.  The cover art refers to the goddess Cathubodua. All elements are in: the goddess, raven, color used, warriors…  Plus, they have a song about the goddess. Also, its a good idea for their first album when I think to Ste’s definition of the bandname. By the way, the lyrics are in the album. Now, about music : Intro The tune starts with soft drums. Rather a good tempo. Secundo and after 2 seconds are the strings instruments & third is windy one (0.15). Its all acoustic but melodies remind some typical arias… Somewhere, It reminded me Ensiferum for example, but it’s well a composed introduction.  Voices enter after 44 seconds, spending sounds, and stop with the musical sentences at 0.56. Then the musical sentences begi...

So, here we go : 1- The Gods Have Returned First of all, Lyrics for that song are amazing : Under nearly each first sentences is about nature (Once my land was green & was strong, Fight for our rivers & trees, Sunrise it will be, Now my land so green & so strong...) ; then is about something dark (strangers now are invading, we can't see our future, fight even thu death, ennemies found death, etc) ; next sentences from parts are more about religions (signs of gods, strangers here, when the gods return, etc) ; then is the notion of "OURS" & "WE" (want us to disappear, we 're drifiting away, they shall be ours, etc). So, litterature speaking, well done! ^^ Now the music :
