Sword Chant

"Tuulikannel" is the title track for the new JONNE single. Jonne Järvelä said about : The basic riff and idea for the song came about when Jaana and I were on the European Tour at the beginning of 2024. More specifically in Germany, in the city of Aschaffenburg and at the Colos-Saal venue in the late afternoon when the soundcheck was done. It actually started when I was strumming the guitar and the rhythm of the song got Jaana interested and she wanted to go further with it.   Then I finished the compose later at home and Jaana started writing the lyrics.  Sami, Yoko and John wrote really good arrangements for their Instruments. I am more than happy about their work and this line-up And Jaana Järvelä concluded : The tempo of the song really grabbed me, just as it also grabbed the spirit that goes along with the song. There is also a playfulness in the rhythm of the song that even makes you smile, so it needed strong, telling lyrics.

> Ikirakkaus means Eternal love in English and I wrote it around the same times when I got married with Jaana. The lyrics depict familiar landscapes from around our home, with dirt roads and forests.   Jaana also sings on this song. In addition to Jaana, Sami, who is also known from Korpiklaani, plays the accordion and his wife Yoko, who is from Japan, plays the hurdy gurdy. Violin on Ikirakkaus plays ex-Cruachan John Ryan. I hope you enjoy this new song which is full of emotions and see you soon at the gigs 🤗 - Jonne

Also Ante Aikio, a well-known Saami artist, features on several tracks on the album. "Kallohonka" is based on eternal tunes and stories about the returning to foregone roots.
