I interviewed Lars Jensen,  the one behind the  MYRKGRAV project. 01. Hi Lars! Do you remember when and how you founded Myrkgrav ?  Myrkgrav was born out of the simple fact that I wanted to compose the music I would personally enjoy listening to, which is a common factor I share with many, many other artists. It was back in 2003 when I began fiddling with the more folk- and viking influenced side of extreme metal, after listening to mostly Norwegian black metal for a few years, but also having recently discovered that I quite enjoyed Scandinavian folk music as well as bands like Månegarm, Otyg, Vintersorg, Fejd (which was quite young in the game at the time) and the likes.

MYRKGRAV  now released  "Takk og farvel - tida er blitt ei annen" ( Thank you and farewell - times have changed ) on Itunes , Google Play and more. "Takk og farvel - tida er blitt ei annen" ( Thank you and farewell - times have changed ), the upcoming  MYRKGRAV  EP became a full length to expect by late autumn 2016.

MYRKGRAV  shared the following words to their fans : "Almost a year has passed since the last Myrkgrav update, so I hope some of you are still following this page. Why, you say? Well, because I have some big small news: 2016 marks the 10 year anniversary since the release of "Trollskau, Skrømt og Kølabrenning". There was supposed to be a follow-up full-length called "Forteljinger frå Finnefjerdingen", but due to huge changes in life-related circumstances, the album will never happen.  My sincerest apologies. HOWEVER, all of the material for the album minus the vocals have already been recorded and mixed years ago. As I am at this point confident in the fact that I will never muster the drive and energy to finish the vocal arrangements for the album, I am prepared to "release" all the material to the public - the instrumentals for the songs that were supposed to make up the album. They will be put up on Bandcamp and all digital streami...

By the end of the month could be downloaded through the Bandcamp page of MYRKGRAV , this new single entitled "Vonde auer": The digital download will come with cover art and sound files,  both in the highest possible quality. Do not expect physical release for this single which will be also available in Spotify and more streaming services, soon.

The project doesn't deal with politic but history and tales. Due to a new passion, the band project is on hold since 2015 but Lars decides to release one last album "Takk og farvel - tida er blitt ei annen" in 2016, instead of the planned album "Forteljinger frå Finnefjerdingen" that will not see the daylight.
