LOCATION : Shetland Islands, Scotland, United Kingdom Status : Active Music : Folk Metal MEMBERS : Callum Anderson : guitars, vocals, keyboards Tom Smith : bass David Lanas : drummer (session) HISTORY : The band named KRAB was founded in 2015 by the members when they had 15 years old. Their goal was to create a unique blend of their local Shetland folk music and heavy metal. They first released a demo titled “Da Trowie Brew” and then, played a few small local gigs before parting ways in 2018 as everybody went on their own journeys. In 2022, the duo Callum and Tom decide to bring the band back with the aim to record all the material professionally and achieve their ambition. That year, KRAB becomes TROWSHOLM ; Trows” being Shetlands version of Norwegian Trolls in local folklore, with “holm” being a small grassy island off the coast of a bigger inhabited island.
