VARANG NORD shared the following news : "Friends! It’s still hard to believe that we are announcing something like this but anyway. Our brother Dan after more than 5 years of being a crucial part of our pagan gang has decided to part ways with the band and focus on other things in his personal and professional life. It’s hard to put into words our love and gratitude for everything he’s been into during his time in the band. It’s still hard to imagine doing what we do without him anymore. But we are remaining family, we spend a lot of time together and we wish him all the best in every aspect of life!"

VARANG NORD unveiled a new video for the third track "Cīņis Gors" of their new album titled " Pārķiuņa Uomurs " coming out on 23.02.21. "Cīņis Gors" is a battle anthem capturing the spirit of a hard long sea travels and conquests Northmen have been involved in.

The fourth VARANG NORD album will be out this february 23rd. The record is entitled Pārķiuņa Uomurs and you can preorder . The band comments :  “Pārķiuņa Uomurs” (Thunder’s Hammer) is the fourth and in our opinion our best studio album! As with previous albums, it still combines harsh death metal riffs with epic accordion chants, creating a unique blend of northern pagan/folk metal, but for the first time in band’s history, all the lyrics are written in the Latgalian language (an eastern dialect of Latvian). The band from Latvia unveiled one new track and video titled "Stuojīs", taken from their upcoming album "Pārķuņa uomurs". More details related with the new release will be later on.

The VARANG NORD's new album will be entitled "Pārķiuņa uomurs" (Thunder hammer) and this is planned for this year. Lyrics for this album will be into  Latgalian language for the first time ever for the band. The band added : we would also like to thank Yuri Borin (orchestral parts) and Sergey "Serkhio" Karshev (bass) for their respective contributions to this record. They released one first song titled "Stuojīs" that you can listen right here :

VARANG NORD  revealed the track listing for their new album probably titled  "Call of Battle". The band is currently recording that record planned around this autumn. Nothing is sure but keep hope! :)

VARANG NORD  published the full stream for their album " Masters of the Forest " out since last year.

VARANG NORD  band I interviewed lately, released a new music video. You know, lyrics of this music we love are more about history tribute, nature or mythology than pure battles or drinks... I would like to express my condoleances to the French and German victims of the recent and insane attacks again. This song by VARANG NORD is  inspired by the attack on Lindisfarne, and depicts the approach of raiders .

I interviewed Khurr from the band  VARANG NORD . 01. Hi, Khurr! VARANG NORD has seen the day light from the ashes of the BALAGURI band. What means the name and the band for you ? Hello! For us, the name Varang Nord signifies that transition from the former band and all the characteristics we want to put in our music. It's harsh, it's wintry, it's northern and it's warlike. Moreover, if the name Balaguri suggested closer ties to the Slavic culture, Varang Nord actually broadens this, because we wanted not only to make our music more serious and heavy, but also sing about the whole northern/north-eastern and bit of central Europe.  02. BALAGURI did not work… What problem have you met there ?  Many members of the band were pretty young at that time, and, you know, still trying to find themselves. People change, plans change, ideas change, and not always it is possible to maintain a band with all these changes around.

Our great supporters from Latvia, VARANG NORD unveiled a preview of their new album " Master of the Forest ".  The full-length will be available in digital on December 8th while the CD version is planned for 2016.
