I interviewed Metatron from THE WOLVES OF AVALON, about the band and their record entitled " Across Corpses Grey "  now released . 01. Hi Metatron ! First of all, how came the idea to found the band WOLVES OF AVALON ? Hails. Having a main focus on Genocide and world religious megalomania emanating from the band, The Meads of Asphodel, and musically, the Meads, being an entity unto itself, I felt the need to channel my interest in British history though another band more driven by a pagan ethos, a more stable musical direction.The name of the band is from an ancient British term that is located in Glastonbury, as Avalon was the place the mythical King Arthur was taken when he was mortally wounded at the battle of Camlan. In a historical context, Avalon was the marshlands of Glastonbury, and Arthur an actual Celtic folk hero who fought against the invading Saxon hordes. WOLVES OF AVALON plans to release their Maxi single for March 2016. The title track " Across Corpses Grey " will be a 30 minute long Prog-Pagan Metal song shifting between the past and the ethereal, and features an array of musicians providing Flute, Cello, Violin, and stunning lead guitar work from Litmus, axe man, Fiddler. Also on the album on will be vocals from Thurios (DRUDKH],  and, Hildr Valkyrie , and one intro by Daemonskald ( SIG:AR:TYR ). There will also be two covers including a special one of, Venom's "Die Hard" which will feature original VENOM guitarist, Mantas on guitar, along with vocal appearances from Alan Averill ( PRIMORDIAL ), Rob Miller (AMEBIX, Mirai (SIGH), Metatron (MEADS OF ASPHODEL). Godreah Records will release a new MCD by WOLVES OF AVALON during May 2015. The maxi single is entitled "Across Corpses Grey" and there will be a special cover of 'Die Hard' where Mantas [Venom / M.Pire of Evil], has recorded the guitars for, along with vocal contributions from Rob [Amebix], and Mirai [sigh].  The record features a 25 minutes long Prog-Pagan Metal song entitled "Across a twilight field of Corpses Grey, only the Trilling of Nightingales can be heard" and shifting between the past and the ethereal. It features Wolves main men, Metatron [Meads of Asphodel], and J. Marinos, as well, as an array of musicians providing, Flute, Cello, Violin, and lead Guitar.
