HISTORY :
Vintersorg started as a solo project by Andreas Hedlund in 1996 after the split of his previous band Vargatron. It was a one-man band until Mattias Marklund joins in 1999, followed by Simon Lundström in 2015. The band name was taken from the Isfolket series by Margit Sandemo, where the character Vintersorg is the son of a great pagan leader. Vintersorg music travels through folk metal and progressive metal while the lyrics deal with heathenism, nature and science.
