HISTORY :
Heljareyga is a side project by Heri Joensen and means "Hel's Eye". Heri described the band name as the following : "It is a geological phenomenon in the Faeroes. Namely holes in the ground close to the sea through which the surf comes up in bad weather. Or deep holes into the bedrock under waterfalls, where you can't make out the bottom. And it is even the name of a river. In early times people will have thought of these holes as passages down to the realm of Hel, or maybe as the very eye of Hel".

The band music isn't really part of "folk metal" but listening to Heljareyga is like listening to Týr since it sounds the same really : as progressive as Týr, the other Heri's band.
