SKYFORGER unveiled their new video "Dieva suns" (Hound of God) taken from their upcoming album "Teikas" (Folktales) set to be released in May 2025. The song is based on actual events that took place more than 333 years ago in the Vidzeme region of Livonia (Latvia). In the 1600’s, the land of Livonia had gained the notoriety of the most werewolf-rich region of Europe. In 1691, a local court convened to hear a case involving robbery from a church in the Zaube village. During the trial, an 86-year-old peasant Thiess of Kaltenbrun was called as a witness, who suddenly confessed having been a werewolf for many years. The court quickly established that the old man Thiess was fully mentally competent. When asked how exactly he had become a werewolf, Thiess explained that some years ago, he had accepted a bewitched drink from a man from Alūksne. Anyone who would drink from a cursed mug, would then transform into a wolf, while the ex-werewolf was freed from his supernatural ...

NYDVIND unveiled one first track taken from their forthcoming album "Tetramental II". "Thanetian Sublimity" is the title of the single.

 "Tuulikannel" is the title track for the new JONNE single. Jonne Järvelä said about : The basic riff and idea for the song came about when Jaana and I were on the European Tour at the beginning of 2024. More specifically in Germany, in the city of Aschaffenburg and at the Colos-Saal venue in the late afternoon when the soundcheck was done. It actually started when I was strumming the guitar and the rhythm of the song got Jaana interested and she wanted to go further with it.   Then I finished the compose later at home and Jaana started writing the lyrics.  Sami, Yoko and John wrote really good arrangements for their Instruments. I am more than happy about their work and this line-up And Jaana Järvelä concluded : The tempo of the song really grabbed me, just as it also grabbed the spirit that goes along with the song. There is also a playfulness in the rhythm of the song that even makes you smile, so it needed strong, telling lyrics.

CHASKA made a video for Winter Night Heights song available on Rites of June EP released last year. The band comments: "The music video for the song Winter Night Heights, besides the images of the band performing, features some images from the film La Luz en el Cerro (The Light on the Hill) provided by its director Ricardo Velarde and Caudal Films. This video was edited by Tom Flynn, who has worked with bands such as Lamb Of God, Suffocation, I Prevail, Buckcherry, Nile, As I Lay Dying, etc. Visually, we wanted to present a video with some dynamics and darkness, in addition to some elements such as mystery, cold and night, which surround the characters and landscapes. I hope you had good times ending the year 2024. That year marked the comeback of SWORD CHANT, and the birth of the new FORUM of SWORD CHANT made for the Folk Metal and Trad/Pagan Folk communities that include listeners, and the artists.  The end of Sword Chant Forum was because the flourishing social networks that killed many forums worldwide. I tried the social community groups and still, I think Forum remains the better tool for this website I founded in 2007, better for lyrics translations, and for almost all… Regarding lyrics and when I look to the East, I think it’s even major to get lyrics here and in a way that everyone can understand their content because, its Culture, Musical Culture, National Culture of Countries that shouldn’t be erased when words remain correct and don’t hurt the people. Since they are so many, I cannot contact every band for, but I’d be pleased to share their lyrics if they send it to me. Then, of course, there is that rights matter of the artists, so ...
