Regarding lyrics and when I look to the East, I think it’s even major to get lyrics here and in a way that everyone can understand their content because, its Culture, Musical Culture, National Culture of Countries that shouldn’t be erased when words remain correct and don’t hurt the people. Since they are so many, I cannot contact every band for, but I’d be pleased to share their lyrics if they send it to me.
Then, of course, there is that rights matter of the artists, so they decide for their art which is normal thing in my opinion – like some may accept unofficial translations while some others don’t. I respect it, so is Sword Chant.
The Folk Metal style is often under the metal banner for the people, but I think Folk Metal is also part of the Folk banner so, the FORGED IN FOLK name calls the Folk listeners like Metalheads to build a nice and peaceful community together where age, country or experience doesn’t matter, where the only border is Hate and Disrespect. I think the sharing of music knowledges from all generations people is also a nice way keeping alive traditional folk and music overall. An old man can teach the younger folk and that last can teach stuff to the old man too. Soon, I’ll create more subforums such as one for musicians; and folk metal bands battles will be in the Forged in Folk forum, as it was in the Sword Chant Forum. These battles will be for bands with bio shared by the members of the forum and a reward will be for the winner band.
In the past, you could find Official Forums for Fejd and Månegarm in the forum of Sword Chant so, Official Band Forum is possible in the new forum but I know time has changed and things are a little different in these days.
I think to many stuffs for the future, but if you have some ideas for the forum or Sword Chant, feel free to share them in the FORGED IN FOLK FORUM.
Now, I would like to extend my condolences to the victims of the recent natural disasters and attacks in the world
Remember one thing: Folk Metal is stronger than anything!
