01. Hi, Runlahild! Or welcome back! He he. How things evolved for you since the last time we met on this webspace ? This is interesting to read again an interview given 2 years ago and notice indeed all the changes in life since then. Eliwagar has now turned 10 years in December 2016. Most of my life, I have been on my own to live my passions and followed a quite solitary road. March 7th will be released the first Runahild,( ELIWAGAR ) album entitles " Seidgaldr ". The record is already avaialble for pre-order . Heres a teaser and the tracklist :

Runahild, founder of the band  ELIWAGAR , will release one first album under her artist name due to new path with her life. The full length is entitled "Seidgaldr". She said : The title translates to "seid" which is an ancient form of sorcery in the Norse society and "galdr" which can translate to the word incantation/spell.  One of my inspiration for creating this album was to try to recreate the kind of atmosphere and sounds that I sometimes experience when sitting in a circle among people, drumming and singing together. It always amazes me how we can harmonize to each other naturally, even though not everyone has experience with singing, drumming or music and not everyone necessarily know each other... but yet magic is here in those moments when all connect to one an other and let the energies flow freely. " I Vølven's Vev " album by  ELIWAGAR  is now released. You can get it vinyl passing by Bandcamp, and digital at Cdbaby .

The new  ELIWAGAR  album "I Vølven's Vev" will be released in vinyl under Merlin Nose Records on July 25th, 2016 and the digipack version will follow (under Nordafolk Records). Runahild shared some words about this record :

Njardar's Vogn is a new song signed ELIWAGAR . She said : Fully experiencing the storms this autumn and feeling the beautiful dark energies of the rain and the leaves falling down, life returning back to the roots, to Mother Earth, inspired me this song. So I put up together some autumn movies I made to accompagny it. This is the song :

I interviewed Runahild, the  ELIWAGAR  founder. The interview is about her new album and project. 01. Hi Runahild! You founded ELIWAGAR project on December 28th of 2006 which means the 10 years anniversary will be in two years!! How do you feel ?  That's true, time goes fast. Eliwagar is what I have most precious in life. Music is what saved me from this world I feel I really don't belong to. It's always been a fight to survive amongst others who I share very little with, seeing that nature is just being destroyed and that most people care more for the most meaningless things while what really matters in life is being completely ignored... Music is my way to speak for nature and to represent our roots, it's through music I try to show a way back to a life in harmony with nature, to the inner peace with oneself and with our environment. It's been 8 very creative years so far and I am deeply thankful for everyone who have been supporting through the years and...

ELIWAGAR  revealed one second track which will feat. on the upcoming full length. The tracktitle is "Vanafolk".

Four months ago, SUN AND MOON DANCE has seen the daylight in the mountains of North Carolina, USA. You can hear in this Folk band, sounds of Appalachian dulcimer but also Talharpa (Jouhikko), Frame drums, Flutes, and more... The founder of the band told me: " I have a strong connection to my Northern European heritage but also wanted to blend a bit of my heritage from the mountains of Appalachia. I am currently working on 4 other songs" ...And the first track revealed is entitled "Hymne til Freyja". Runahild from  ELIWAGAR  feat. in this track and plays Hardanger fiddle on this tune available for free download on Bandcamp. Updated the broken link to the track.

Today, the  ELIWAGAR  founder,  Runahild, is 28 years old! She shared one new song entitled "I Villmarka" (In the Wilderness)  for the event. This song  represents a feeling I have carried all my life (28 years now), ever since I can remember, this call to the wild nature, this need to escape this society I never understood, always seeking solitude for that's when I usually feel the strongest energy in nature... and also because it happens just too seldom to meet those people who can feel this with the same intensity , she said.

Runahild announced today on the official facebook page, this is the end of her Pagan Folk band project  ELIWAGAR ... Her official statement is the following : ELIWAGAR has come to an end for now, it might re-awaken in the future for a new beginning but that remains very uncertain. This isn't an easy decision for me to take, but life has drastically changed and although the darkness we are going through will lead to lighter days my inspiration isn't the same and the music I write now doesn't belong to ELIWAGAR anymore.  ELIWAGAR is a project I started more than 7 years ago on my own in my lonely times. Today I have my husband even though this system that goes against those who fight for freedom and a better world has taken him away from me for an uncertain amount of time.
