SKOGSHALLEN updated their fans regarding the upcoming album : ll we have left to do is the guitar work and a few intros and outros. Alas our release has been delayed, our second guitarist is going to be out of the country till april at which point we will knock out the rest of his parts in studio. To TIDE you over till then a special single will be released. An oldie from our northern lights album so be ready for that.

"Krampusnacht" is the title for the new single by SKOGSHALLEN available for free. Krampusnacht by Skogshallen SKOGSHALLEN will release their next record " Fara í Víking " during 2016. I contacted the band on that matter and this is their reply : "Initially planned for this year, there may be some delay. We want to make sure we give it all our creative energy and that means some attention to detail that we felt was lacking in former albums. The older albums were fun but roughly done at best. I can tell you two things about the album : - First and foremost, it will feature 14 original compositions as well as 2 arrangements of old folk songs. - However due to the long wait, we decided to write a song in honor of krampus to be debuted tomorrow.  The song will be free to download".

SKOGSHALLEN are currently working on their next record. The new album is entitled 'Fara í Víking' which is the old norse for "to go raiding". The release date is not settled for now. The founder of the band confessed me the following : The sound is largely going to be more bombastic with some epic symphonic elements. The main focus is going to be on two events leading up to the clash of vikings against the christians that is sparked by the burning of the Irminsul Idol in Externsteine, Germany. This album is going to be a serious approach, unlike Olrunir's Saga . The metal sound is going to be heavily influenced by black metal with lots of tremelo picking.  It is going to be our best produced album as well due to the fan support we have slowly accumulated.  The album will be featuring one of the oldest SKOGSHALLEN songs ever written titled "Beyond The Veil of Midgard" which will finally be completed since its first incarnation in 2005.

Ölrunir's Saga is the title for this album made by SKOGSHALLEN (USA).  The album now released can be listened and ordered passing by the  Bandcamp  page of the band.
