SUN AND MOON DANCE  shared one demo song titled "Fae" ( as in Cattle or livestock and not as Faeries). "This is my first time experimenting with vocalization in my music" , he said and I think he did great, don't you think ? :)

SUN AND MOON DANCE will release a new album entitled "Songs of the Sun". The band stated the following : "Songs of the Sun" is an album dedicated to a wonderful woman who I recently lost to Cancer. I was not intending to release an album like this but I was so inspired that I had to. It is a bit different from the demo material. The only instruments featured will be the Mountain Dulcimer and Kraviklyre. The album is a remembrance of the inspiring life she led from birth to death and then her rebirth. Just as the year turns the seasons and the Sun goes through its various stages, so does all life. We live on an ever-turning wheel. Nothing and noone is gone forever.

This year, Chris Welsh ( SUN AND MOON DANCE ) created one new project together with Darrell Fishel. Chris plays Tagelharpa while Dulcimer played by Darrell. The name for this new band is THE SKALDS SONGS and this is one first track from the project : They are currently working on the debut album for this band.

This is the very first interview of the SUN AND MOON DANCE band. Chris answered 13 questions related with the upcoming record, the project, himself and future plans. 01. Hi Chris! One year ago, you founded your Pagan Folk project SUN AND MOON DANCE. How came the idea to found a band ? Music has been a huge part of my life since I was a little boy. It has always been my way to connect to the realms beyond the physical. The idea to start some sort of project had been in my mind for many many years but it never had the right vessel or the push to turn it into a reality until the past year when my closest and dearest friends all moved into the area that I lived. They are all musicians that share the same love for the music that I do. Never in my life have I had anyone to play music with prior to this. We started jamming together and I finally felt like it was time for me to create my own project. I needed a way to express the bond I had with my friends, the gods and to nature...

American band  SUN AND MOON DANCE revealed one track entitled "Å gi vann til røttene" (Watering the Roots). They said: This will be the only other track I release until I finish the EP. The song was recorded in collaboration with my closest friends. You will hear the Tagelharpa which is played by myself as well as river stones and frame drum. Male vocals were done by myself, Elan and Bear. Female vocals were done by Brittany. The river you hear in the background is a very sacred place to us all. Watering the roots is a remembrance of the ritual in which we all became brothers and sisters,

Four months ago, SUN AND MOON DANCE has seen the daylight in the mountains of North Carolina, USA. You can hear in this Folk band, sounds of Appalachian dulcimer but also Talharpa (Jouhikko), Frame drums, Flutes, and more... The founder of the band told me: " I have a strong connection to my Northern European heritage but also wanted to blend a bit of my heritage from the mountains of Appalachia. I am currently working on 4 other songs" ...And the first track revealed is entitled "Hymne til Freyja".
