TROLLWAR released their new song "The Offering" taken from "Tales From the Frozen Wastes" EP out on November 15th.  The band shares their thoughts: “This is the most recent song composition-wise. We think that this one is the best representation of where the Trollwar sound has evolved. It contains some great Melodic Death Metal riffs, a good chorus, epic symphonies.. the whole package. This is also the 2nd song where we have a guest coming in to push the limit of the song with astonishing power metal vocals and choirs.” They go on to explain that the black-metal elements are also brought forward, with an epic evil bridge that will give chills to the symphonic black metal enjoyers. The transitions are smooth and flow easily.

TROLLWAR released their new battle song named "Bane of the Underworld". The track is taken from  Tales From the Frozen Wastes EP coming out on november 15th. Bane of the Underworld de Trollwar

TROLLWAR will release “Tales from the Frozen Wastes” EP on November 15th, 2024. “We think our album could really be described as a renewal. A renewal of our music and a new maturity for our music. We do think that you can hear it through our songs in this release. “The Unseen One” and “In the Fields of Frost” are both great songs that we wrote a couple of years ago, while “Bane of the Underworld” and “The Offering” are pretty much the new Trollwar that you should expect going forward. These two songs show a clear upgrade of how we write our music.” “Tales from the Frozen Wastes” promises to be Trollwar‘s most complex and complete release to date, showcasing the band’s evolution towards a more melodic and symphonic sound while incorporating progressive elements. The EP features five tracks, including a prologue, that will transport listeners into a darker dimension ruled by shadows and supreme deities. TRACKLIST 01. Prologue (2:00)   02. Canadian band TROLLWAR are currently working on their second full length which is planned for 2016. The band said : We are currently working really hard on the 2nd album. The songs have been written for a long time now! At this stage, the pre-prod is part of the past, the 9 new songs are fully completed. We are training our drummer so he can kick ass in studio like never. This album will be much different musically. It will be way darker and way deeper than Earthdawn Groves, but Trollwar is always following the same path. Starting from a blend of blackened folk metal, we worked really hard to develop the melodic and dynamic aspects that forges our sound. Prepare for something really epic. Adding an orchestral aspect to both the album production and live act will be a great phase for us. We made a final choice regarding the recording process of that full-length. Mysteries will be enlightened soon! Stay tuned, as great news are coming fast.

I interviewed Poignar, and WoX from the band TROLLWAR , who's also member of our forum, so if you have more questions, ask him below (muahaha). The interview was done longtime before the release of their debut album . 01. Hi WoX, Hi Poignar! Your first EP was released in 2011; one year after the band founded and this December 1st will be out your debut album. Can you tell us, for the ones who haven’t heard TROLLWAR yet, how was founded the band exactly ? Poignar: Well first of all we have all been friend and know each other pretty much before the beginning of the band. We were all interested about music and had common way of thinking so we just happened to jam together and had the desire to form something to transmute our feeling into music. We pretty much all always been active in the music scene having a few band here and there, or solo projects for me (Neant radical and Riding dawn revolt).
