The very first VAILOS interview !
I interviewed a new band hailing from Kraków, Poland. Their name is VAILOS. 01. Hi Monika, hurdy gurdist of the band, why that bandname ? I was thinking for a long time about the right name. I’ve always wanted it to be connected with wolves, as I have always been fascinated with these mysterious creatures, so I’ve decided VAILOS will be the best one. It means ‘wolf’ in ancient Celtiberian and Proto-Indo-European language. It also is short, sounds nice and is easy to remember, what is a huge advantage. 02. When was founded the band and how did the idea emerge ? The band in its current form was founded at the end of 2021 (that’s why sometimes we put that number above our picture logo), but the work had started much earlier. I am the main founder of the band, I worked very hard on estabilishing it. We had many difficulties in finding right line-up, for few years many people were joining only to go away, but here we are!
