NEMUER unleashed Sun God Ra's Solar Barque song

NEMUER released an animated music video for the track Sun God Ra’s Solar Barque from our ancient Egyptian album Going Forth by Day! It's a preview of their upcoming art-music film about the Book of the Dead made in collaboration with artist Klára Sedlo and Egyptologists. The lyrics are in ancient Egyptian with reconstructed pronunciation.

As the sun sets, sun god Ra enters the underworld on his barque, accompanied by gods and the souls of the blessed dead. 

Every night, his journey is challenged by Apophis, the serpent of darkness and chaos.

When Ra triumphs, the reborn sun rises again. When he fails, the world falls into darkness.
