MYRKVEDR  published these sad news on their facebook page : "It is with heavy hearts we write this.... Our brother in arms, fellow musician and most of all, dear friend Mattias "Rok" Andersson have left this world... We had the best of times playing on stage with him and touring around all of sweden, and off stage he was the most trusted friend who never backed down from helping anyone in need. We laughed and cried together as family.  Words can not begin to describe our sorrow and our thoughts go to his family and loved ones.  We raise a solemn glass in his honour as we hope to meet him again in valhall. MYRKVEDR  decided to release a new EP entitled Tvenne Korpar (Two ravens) despite the band is still on hold. The band said the following : I would like to present a little dainty for all faithful fans out there. As we never pulled our broke asses together and got the songs mixed or mastered, we figured; "Hey, what the hell. Lets just give it to the people! Better then just leaving it here to slowly suffocate and die. Mixing is kind of gay, anyway..." We actually recorded it in Bohus Studio where other kind of well known bands have worked, like "In Flames" and "Hardcore Superstar". We were there, recording this ep during Hardcore Superstars session for "HCSS" (2015). For the guitars we borrowed Jesper Strömblads amplifier, the very same amplifier that can be heard on "Legacy of kings" with Hammerfall. So here you go, "Tvenne Korpar" on bandcamp. It´ll be running on spotify in a few days!

Sad news for MYRKVEDR fans, The  band goes on indefinite hold. Thurisaz and the rest of Myrkvedr said : Dear fans.  We have decided to put Myrkvedr on hold indefinitely. Time will tell if we ever play together again.  We've lost our will to drive this project any longer so we will end it here before it drains us further.  Hagal will spend his time on his newborn baby, Sumbl will continue on with his other band Falkhan and myself and Rok will be starting to look for other bands to join. It has been a fun and exciting 5 years overall, and we hope you've enjoyed the ride as well, catch you on the flip-side!

Hard time for  MYRKVEDR  band who has seen the departure of their folk player "Runar" you can find in FROSTRIT band. Their bass player "Askebloss" has done the same, for another and darker reason... MYRKVEDR said: Dear fans. It is with a heavy heart that we tell you that Askebloss has decided to leave us. He no longer feels that he has the drive or time to continue playing bass at all. We in the band are of course very sad because of this since Askebloss has been with the band since the beginning, and we all consider him a family member. As you might have noticed, Myrkvedr hasn't been particularly active doing gigs or completeing the EP, which is delayed beyond measurement. And the reason for this is of course financial difficulties but also internal struggles, which is to be expected when you basically are a group of people trying to steer a car at the same time. I interviewed Thurisaz, Hagal and Runar from MYRKVEDR , mainly about their debut album out since october 30th. 01. Hi MYRKVEDR ! October 30th was released your Debut-album entitled « The Sons of Muspell ». Are you satisfied with the result ? Thurisaz: Very much so indeed! Myself and the others are very excited about this album. It contains several music styles that we all like personally, Folk metal, Death metal, Black metal and dare I say even a hint of Power metal. Hagal: Yes, the result is very much as the original vision for the band. Heavy, dirty, non-commercial and filled to the edge with bravery and epic awesomeness! 02. Where was recorded, mixed and mastered the album ? Hagal: The album has been recorded and mixed at Tåget Studios in Borås, Sweden. The mastering actually took place in my private studio.

The bands name comes from the old norse language and means "Dark Forest" and is the forest in the nordic mythology that acts as a border between Asgaard and Muspelheim. Earlier this year, the band CATUVOLCUS announced "Catuvolcus is no more. As of the 26th of February 2013 Catuvolcus has returned into ashes and dust. Our music will remain available through both Deathbound Records and Hymnes d'Antan as well as other labels/distributors across the world" .  October 24th of 2013, the band changed his mind and P-A Plessix, also known as "Segomaros" in our forum, said to the official bandpage: "I must confess that the status of the Catuvolcus clan was well and truly foggy since lately. Know that I apologize and due to the circumstances, it is impossible for me to set aside this project which is the seat of my feelings, my way of expression which has a lot of importance both for me and for others.
