HISTORY :
Founded in 2008 by Thomas Gualtieri (keyboards) and Stefano J.C. Correale (guitar) who wanted to form a new band after the dissolution of their former one, AFTERGOD is an italian band playing Evocative Folk Metal. The term "Evocative Folk" was created by the band to describe its production in the most suitable way, AfterGod’s repertoire in fact comprehend some songs close to both folk metal and traditional folk, Since 2016, the band changed their musical path that was "folk metal" for melodic death and metalcore. Lyrics dealed with stories, dialogues and monologues, inspired by history and mythology of pre-Christian, Celtic and Nordic civilizations when it was a folk metal band but now deal with inner struggle, society, emotions, since the change and so, the only folk metal material is the first demo. In 2019, the band changes name for "Give Up the Ghost" within different line up.
