HOPES OF FREEDOM  released their second album  entitled "Burning Skyfall" TRACKLIST :

WOLVES OF AVALON plans to release their Maxi single for March 2016. The title track " Across Corpses Grey " will be a 30 minute long Prog-Pagan Metal song shifting between the past and the ethereal, and features an array of musicians providing Flute, Cello, Violin, and stunning lead guitar work from Litmus, axe man, Fiddler. Also on the album on will be vocals from Thurios (DRUDKH],  and, Hildr Valkyrie , and one intro by Daemonskald ( SIG:AR:TYR ). HASPYD unveiled a new song that you can download for free on Soundcloud. Their new single "Carehrad" deals with the Cossack glory, the knights that are ready to go through “three nine lands” to save their brother’s and sister’s honor and freedom. Historically this is referring to the glorious feats, sung by sage Taras Shevchenko in his poem «Hamalia» It is a tribute to a brutal and bloody time, when the invasion of foreigner’s hordes took place on our land, but group of braves went across the sea to rescue their family from the humiliating slavery.

STWORZ stated the following regarding their band name : "Since the creation of Stworz in September 2007 we have never really thought about this topic, but it seems that every now and then a question of how to spell our name properly is causing some confusion among our non-polish supporters. So, here's an explanation:  Stworz should be pronounced (approximately) STVOSH. And no, this name does not come from Polish or Slavic folklore, but from the works of Czesław Białczyński merely based on actual mythology and folklore; nor does it mean "to create" (pol. "stworzyć" or "stwórz" in imperative mood), as some have suggested, because there is no such word as "stworz" in Polish language. It is just the name of creature from Białczyński's universe, albeit closely related to words like "stworzyć" (to create) or "stworzenie" (a creature). Hope this will be helpful".

2015 is over. I, Eld & Sword Chant want to wish a happy new year to all the followers, listeners, all the bands, labels, promoters, and partners. As you know, you can expect here reviews in this year. The year 2015 brought a lot of nice music. Of course, I haven't listened to all the releases out but I think for example to "One Man Army" album by Ensiferum or the Acoustic EP by Grimner. Some bands like Arandu Arakuaa have shown again new shapes of Folk Metal can be and then, not everything have been explored in that various and eclectic musical genre. I hope to see more bands like this one within their own and recognizable folk metal, in the future. More Folk Music could be shared last year and I hope more will be in this year, again. Some nice surprise like Huldreslåt or the new Omnia album "Naked Harp" appeared in this site. This year sounds already promissing. I am rather curious of the upcoming works by The Dread Crew of Oddwood or agai...
